In many cases houseplants can be damaged. Depending upon the size of the stem, you can use of a toothpick or a chop-stick to fix it! Merely place a tape covered toothpick or chop-stick to keep the stem in place. This helps the plant stay together until it grows back. For bigger plant stems, use a craft stick or wooden dowel with a string or cord. Houseplants that begin to sag can be propped up using the same strategy. Merely put the stick parallel to the stem of the houseplant for balance. Attach the plant with thread or string, making sure that it is not tied too tightly.

One way to dress up your plants is to place little accents like wire butterflies or other cute insect. You could even make a little trellis for a vining houseplant with an old wire hanger. Bend the hanger into a heart or other shape. Put it into the dirt and the vine will grow around the shape.
